A Brief History
MetroStudios officially began in 1975 in North Hollywood under the d.b.a. names
Stronghold Sound and John Thomas Studios. From among the initial projects
undertaken emerged the studios' first Platinum album, "The Dream Weaver"
by Gary Wright.
The operation of the studio was shared among: "A.J." Tom Thomas, Greg Ladanyi, Val Garay, Jim Niper, Jay Lewis, and Tony Gottlieb. Their combined works include countless Gold and Platinum credits, endorsements, advisory positions, educational interviews and notable industry articles.
